SCULPTURE
In most cases, it is possible to do a Lifecast
What happens in the LifeCast studio?
During your two hour appointment, you have plenty of time to discuss exactly what kind of cast you would like and have your mould taken.
After preliminary preparation, a warm custard-like material is applied to the skin. This layer cools to form a flexible mould which, supported by a thin layer of plaster, is removed in one piece, concluding the sitting.
From this, a wax positive is pulled, the first step in the eight stages of the bronze casting. The rest of the process takes between 2 and 3 months, depending on the foundry.
Prices for LifeCast pieces range from £300 to £3000 inc. VAT
